Privacy Policy

Quicklykit.com’s text editor is designed to keep your words private. This page explains what we store on your device, what never leaves it, and the few optional network requests performed by the app.

1. Data that stays on your device

All editor content, preferences, and dismissible hints are persisted with LocalStorage or SessionStorage. Specifically, we store:

  • qk:text — the text you type into the editor.
  • qk:theme — your light or dark mode preference.
  • qk:lang — your chosen interface language (English or Bangla).
  • qk:hint-dismissed — whether you closed the Markdown preview hint.
  • qk:preview (session only) — whether Markdown preview is open for this tab.

These keys never leave your browser and can be cleared at any time using your browser’s site data tools.

2. What we never collect

We do not collect analytics, telemetry, keystrokes, cookies, or any personally identifiable information. There are no third-party embeds, trackers, or advertisements. The entire editor runs offline once loaded.

3. Optional network calls

On load, the footer attempts to fetch shared Quicklykit branding from https://qr.quicklykit.com/create. If the request fails (for example, because you are offline), the local fallback footer is used instead. No editor content is transmitted with this request.

4. Offline behaviour and service worker

A Progressive Web App service worker caches the editor shell, icons, and this policy so you can keep working without a connection. The cache only stores static assets—your text and preferences remain private to your browser.

5. Clearing your data

To remove all stored information, clear the site data for quicklykit.com (or your local development origin) via your browser settings. This deletes the LocalStorage and SessionStorage keys listed above.

6. Contact

Have a question about privacy or need help? Reach out via earif.com/contact and we will respond promptly.
